Vietnam has strongly protested against Khmer Kampuchea Krom extremists
for conducting an illegal demonstration and burning Vietnamese flag in
Phnom Penh on August 12, Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ spokesman Le Hai
Binh said.



The acts by Khmer
Kampuchea Krom extremists are perverse with intention to seriously
insulting the fine traditional friendship and cooperation between
Vietnam and Cambodia, Binh said in a statement Wednesday.



“We request Cambodia to strictly deal with the case in line with law and
adopt effective preventive measures so as to avoid similar action," he
said.
